Remember this?
This is the metal clay pendant I made this summer, which then was taken back to California with my sister-in-law to be fired. She mailed it and Victoria’s earrings back to me. I waited for Victoria to come over for our final polish… The jewelry comes out of the kiln as bronze with a dark coating as the clay has been fired away. We used various sandpapers and dremel polishing brushes to get rid of the dark coating.
Victoria’s earrings turned out spectacular!
I like her “pinecones” the best.
My pendant looks very cool in person, though the camera doesn’t pick up the variation in polish, the outer edge and tree are much shinier than the hills. There are places I struggled with getting smooth, so I decided it was just a “rustic look”.
Thanks, Cindy for bringing out the metal clay and teaching us what to do!

These are beautiful.
Well done! They turned out great!!
