Even though the days keep getting up near fifty degrees with snow only on the mountain tops, I know that sooner or later, Mother Nature will regain her senses and it’ll be snowy, icy, cold, and nasty. To that end, Vernon cut me some firewood today.
A couple hours later, I had five hardworking grandkids unload my firewood.
I absolutely love working kids. Or kids who know how to work. Either/or.
Within minutes the chores were done… cousins went to play with cousins… and Lacee played with my dogs, and my cats, and she’d have grabbed a chicken as they went by if she could.
As she was holding one of my “kittens”, we noticed something weird.
She had a tooth poking out of her mouth.
We opened her mouth and come to find out, it was a baby tooth, barely hanging on by the tiniest strand of gum. I popped it out. Lacee now has a teeny tiny momento and the knowledge that cats do have baby teeth. Her question: “What do cat tooth fairies bring?”
