Brands

Posted on January 18, 2025January 18, 2025

Over the years, we’ve owned cows separately. Johnny had registered Herefords for years. Vernon and I had a small band of Charolais. Daniel has registered Angus and raises bulls and heifers for sale. Brandon raises grass fed beef. These little bunches are separate from Greet Ranch.

Greet Ranch’s brand is A bar A.

Daniel’s brand is the Double Lazy A.

Brandon bought the old Ped Mills’ brand of Y8.

Victoria owns the old family brand of D bar D.

Well, I’ve finally joined the club. I just bought a brand for my tiny herd of five! I decided to stick with the “A” theme… not that there’s a theme, really. I now own the /A. (Slash A)

I could just do a Happy Dance!

Congratulations, Carol. It’s all up hill from here! That brand reminds me of a warning sign… similar to an ‘Upgrade ahead’.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
