Identity Theft Again

Posted on April 6, 2025April 6, 2025

We had twins! Most cows won’t take two calves, so we had a plan.

We had a cow who lost her calf… so it was time for identity theft. First, Vernon gave the calf a much needed drink.

Vernon prepares the hide of the dead calf to be wore by the twin. Baling twine will be knotted around each leg, lending the scent to its new owner.

Now attached, we hope the scent will help the cow accept the new baby.

The baby was happy… we will leave it in the pen for a while, and hope this identity theft works.
