Sam Hill

Posted on April 14, 2025April 14, 2025

Driving myself crazy here… I’m looking for my metal stamps in a box probably 2”x2”. It should be with my jewelry making stuff… and… it’s not. So even though I may have company that wants to sleep in my studio soon, I’ve torn it apart.
I’ve looked all of the logical places.
Am I losing my mind?
It’s so frustrating and now I have to put all that back in and clean it up…

I’m trying to laugh but every once in a while, I can only scream, “Where in the Sam Hill are my stamps?”

I lost my reading glasses several years ago. Looked in the grandkids toy box, blamed the grandchild for taking it home and looked everywhere. No luck. So just got on with life. THEN a few months later I found them. Where you ask. In the freezer still in their case. And I must be the guilty one. A Nanny whose feet and mind were not in the same place so one did not know what the other was doing!!! Hope you find your box soon..

You are recounting the story of my life. I start out with something in my hand and end up without it. Never mind things that I know where they are. Did you ever read the story of the borrowers? They were small ones that borrowed things so folks couldn’t find them. Cute kid’s story.

My late grandfather, Jones Miles Acker, in SE PA, referenced “Sam Hill” when faced with WTH! Love Sam Hill is alive & well!
