Time for the bulls’ annual trich test. Bulls that have been with any cows will be penned, a scraping taken from their penis, it will be added to a solution, and it will be sent off to a lab for testing. An eartag will be replaced with this year’s color and recorded. Trichomoniasis in cattle is a venereal disease causing problems with fertility. Bulls having testing positive will be removed from the herd.

Maybe not the bulls’ favorite day.

Sorry, boys, but it has to be done.

Quinlan keeps records on the phone, Lorelei preps the new eartag.

New pretty tag shows the test has been done. Whew.

So would they get it from the cows? Where does it come from?
Yes. Not a good day for the bulls indeed, but better for your herd.
