Replenished

Posted on June 9, 2025June 9, 2025

Vernon is fixing fence on the mountain, and I have the very, very easy job of dropping him off at one point, and driving around to pick him up at another.

With rainstorms coming weekly, the country remains brilliant green with water running down cow paths.

The buffalo wallows are full, then slowly empty, only to be replenished at the next rain. Nothing makes a rancher happier than a great grass year… and we’re definitely on track for that.

Yes, the beauty of the green grass. We’ve had a very rainy spring here,
    too.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
