Simple Little Thing

Posted on June 14, 2025June 14, 2025

It’s a simple little thing… one bracket for my bedside solar light.

Bit by bit, my little place is gaining personality. I’m in no rush, so when something feels right, I make it happen, and when I saw this little bracket, I knew it’d be perfect.

What doesn’t thrill me is the circuit breaker box. Shoved into the corner (with no cover!), nothing will balance it out. I can’t put a shelf there… I think it’d look weird and I need the room to crawl into bed. Maybe a canvas hung over it with matching wood grain colors? Maybe a fake hanging plant? I had thought to hang another wildflower painting on that wall, but that box just ruins it for me!

Ideas, everyone? Help me out!

A cover would be good. But it is keeping your electric and you safe. At least in the UK our breaker boxes do that. If something is unsafe it breaks the circuit.

Make a shallow hinged box to close over the breaker box. Make it out of the same wood as the wall. There are hinges that become hidden when closed. You probably need to ventilate the bottom of the hinged box.

They make covers for these. Google says they are sold together… seems like you could find one on line somewhere and paint it to your liking.
