While I’ve been safely ensconced in my house, well, for the most part… or somewhere else, the guys have cut, raked, baled, and stacked all the pollen loaded hay surrounding my house! I’m always very appreciative that Vernon now makes a point of doing these fields first. Grass pollen usually ends up ruining the month of June for me and why I’m always ready to go to the mountain to avoid it! Then there’s was riding through it… though, I doubt I’ll do much riding anymore. But, boy, I’d be miserable moving cattle through grass! Johnny would tell me to take the lead, but I’d refuse, believing he deserved that position of Trail Boss (and he did!). But after he quit riding, I took his place, and oh, boy, let me tell you, there’s much less pollen kicked up at the lead of the herd than the back! For years, I had had studied Johnny and the cows, and where he’d position himself and block the cows and turn them this way or that or slow them down or hold them up… so I was semi-ready for Trail Boss status, but I was still surprised at how easy it all was when you could BREATHE too! Anyway, back to my heroes of the hay baling kind… thanks! I really appreciate it!

Gesundheit! Less pollen is great.
Less riding because you have vehicles??? You haven’t damaged yourself?
