Pretty Proud

Posted on March 9, 2026March 9, 2026

I stole away two granddaughters for most of the day. I was ready to do more peg loom weaving, but the old sheets I’d ripped up were pink and tie dyed pastels, not exactly my color scheme. Two little girls approved though.

First was tying the strings to the pegs.

I demonstrated a row or two but then the girls took over, Reagan doing the solid pink, Lacee weaving the tie dye portion.

They worked steadily. The thing about peg weaving is fast results.

It took six hours, start to finish. The girls did every bit except for tying it off… and, boy, they were pretty proud of the result.

Good job!

I love this! Way to go! I’d love to try it, but my brain looks at the set up and goes…”huh?” Guess I better go watch a video!
