Vernon needed a bit of help surveying his pond extension today and luckily for me, I learned how to run an idiot stick when I was in college. For those of you wondering what that is, it’s the simple stick with measurements on it to help the surveyor.
I couldn’t take pics while surveying, but I took pics walking around the pond and pond to be.
This upper pond will have a pond liner in it. The lower one has bentonite in it. This was built a long time ago but it’s only held water a few weeks before it seeped away. We’re hoping to fix that.
The pond liner will be delivered this week. Stay tuned.

First, what is bentonite? I assume it was supposed to seal the pond?
Your projects never cease to amaze me. Vernon can do so much, and now he’s a surveyor too! It looks like the pond to be will be quite large.
