George

Posted on July 3, 2026July 3, 2026

Well, it’s July 3 and the library has an entry in the parade tomorrow morning. You’ve seen “George” take shape…

From layering cardboard…

To figuring out wing position…

To paper mache his distinctive bald eagle head…

Then there were all those feathers, thankfully, V. cut them all out for me.

Yesterday, George made his debut when we attached his finished wings. Unfortunately, George is very unstable… but, we hope to have that figured out so he can made it over the parade route! Tomorrow, I’ll share our parade entry… stay tuned!
