By the time Vernon and I had shuttled up the horse trailer, the cows were coming into to the pasture.

Sorting cows out to grass and keeping the calves in.

After years of having them watch… it’s pretty much a kid crew in the back. Jaxon bringing from the big pen.

Two girls critiquing calves as they walk by and occasionally helping me push them through to Quinlan.

Quinlan shoves four up to Brandon in the alley.

Brandon holds them in place while Megan, Daniel, and Tess vaccinate and deworm.

Reagan assisted the adults.
Quite the efficient crew, we were done earlier than expected. Lunch was at eleven.

Before we head home, the guys formed a line, emptying the horse trailer of 50# sacks of salt and mineral.

Lorelei seemed to be supervising until some good natured teasing got her in line to share the work. Which she did.

The cows and calves reunited, they were turned out to the main pasture. What I want you to notice is that the pond that is usually there, is nonexistent. What we call Mud Springs is not flowing this year. Thankfully, by the grace of God, we have other springs that are still flowing.

We are blessed by a great crew, as well.
