We weaned our heifer calves today. The girls will go to a feedlot to grow up over winter. The steer calves will stay with their moms a while longer, gaining more weight on some good mountain grass.

After we were finished around 3 this afternoon, Lacee and Reagan went with me to the cabin… just to hang out for a couple of hours. If I’m that close, I should go say “hi”, right? One of the things I did was to exchange the card on my trail cam… hoping for some good elk pictures. Well, I didn’t get that… I got over 1600 shadows and cow photos though! Yay. One skunk. Two deer. And this!
Yeah, I know, right? No big surprise, I’ve got one other pic of a lion at night up there… but… still.
I guess this just makes a bigger impact on me than photos of cows! What do you think?
