Not Babies Anymore

Posted on October 18, 2017October 17, 2017

Look who is growing up!  They seem to have doubled in size since I left on vacation.

Perhaps that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but still…

One is definitely a rooster.

I only have seven of the original eleven left.  Let’s hope these stay smart and alert!

Indelicate question, I guess, but will that rooster mate with its siblings? Just wondering (from a town gal).

That rooster would… but I do believe he may end up as Sunday dinner soon… Spot does NOT appreciate him!

Pretty! My dad had a hatchery business in Kearney, NE. His business was downtown but we had a chicken house with hundreds of chickens where we lived at the edge of town. These pictures bring back memories. They are beautiful!
