Pieces, Part Two

Posted on August 26, 2022

To continue my story from the other day…

The frame was unloaded, trundled over to the rest of the disc mower, and the brackets and tires bolted on.

There was more shifting, wiggling, pushing.

The frame needed to come back another 1.5”. The skidsteer couldn’t move more… so a comealong and chain were strapped on.

A hydraulic jack was brought in to level what looked like a level piece of ground. I never would have thought of that. Brandon does some major hammering on the pin.

Success! Now there’s the small stuff to replace. Bolts and nuts. Drive line. Other non random unknown thingamabobs.

I definitely wasn’t going to be any help… so my stint as a photo documentarian was over.

I’m amazed. From those many pieces, once again emerged a disc mower. Kudos to my lovely mechanics and, also, T. Great job!

Glad you’re back up and running! And thanks all you ranchers and farmers out there! The variety of things you do and the expense you incur to keep us fed….wow!
    we are grateful!
