I spent a couple hours at the well again. As I arrived, much of the drilling rig equipment was being hauled away.

The guys were busy covering up the trench close to the well, smoothing out the piles, and planning for more trench work.

When there are three guys working in concert, it’s amazing how fast things can get done!

Then there’s this cute little A frame… a used tiny building soon to live life as a well house. It’s the cutest little thing. Time to unload it.

As they’d lift, the A frame would rock threatening to tip. Up and down. Adjustments. Up and down. Discussion. Re-situated. Up. Rock. Vernon jumped out and grabbed a corner. Daniel grabbed a corner. Brandon ran to drive the pickup and trailer away. I, reluctantly, grabbed on to help steady it, when Vernon told me to back up and let them know how fast to lower it. With Brandon now steadying it, Vernon and Daniel climbed back on their excavators and I signaled DOWN.

By Jove, we did it! And as Daniel said, it was only slightly sketchy! I can’t wait until the pad is ready for this to go over the well…

Clever use of the A-frame! I always enjoy these continuing stories of your ranch projects.
