Earlier this year for the library, I applied to get a Freedom Truck over the 4th of July. I tried to explain that the 4th in Ten Sleep is a Big Deal. That our population of 240 becomes thousands and they’re a patriotic lot and they’d get good business. Unfortunately, they chose not to come… but! Today and tomorrow, they are in Worland.

Traveling around the country, there are six different semis.

Full of interactive displays, the kids had a blast watching history recreated.

What do you know about your government? Would you be a Tory or a Patriot? What do you know about famous battles of the Revolution? Who are some of the famous people of the war?

It was impressive watching historical portraits come to life.

The wall of heroes was interesting.

It was all interesting but I think the most popular was putting your own signature on the Declaration.

The kids enjoyed it…. I loved it. If you get a chance, google Freedom Trucks and see if they’re coming to a town near you!

THANK YOU for sharing this! You are so lucky to be able to see this very special traveling educational display
to celebrate our nation’s history!! I have checked out the website with great interest! Loved it. Hope a Freedom Truck comes my way.
Living in NY state, where the most battles of the Am. Revolution were fought, we have a lot of forts and commemorative places to visit!
Come!! And also visit Boston – with a tour! It’s unforgettable!
Anything to make history closer is great. I’d never heard of Freedom Trucks, but I’ll ask Google.
