Moving Mountains (Pastures) Again

Posted on August 25, 2026August 25, 2026

After a night of elk watching, we met up with the cowboys gathering Bayer Creek. I waited for them on the county road.

It wasn’t long for them to pass me by. I visited with some neighbors that were up there checking their cows… and caught up to them further down the road. Vernon had jumped into Brandon’s pickup and drove along. Once I caught up, we went back for Daniel’s outfit. It became a game of leap frog, the cows and cowboys leading the way.

I did manage to help them over the big hill…

Quinlan’s stirrups look a little short – again.

They made it and we had just finished shuttling all the vehicles. The crew was efficient once again. I got one more chance for photos as they paired out but I’ll save that for another day.
