Waited But Worth It

Posted on August 29, 2026August 29, 2026

It took almost three years. That’s a very sad thing to say. Three years ago, I asked a friend to go out to eat in Shell, Wyoming at the Shell Store. Cute, remodeled, hand made desserts, I’ve written about it before. But Friday was FINALLY the day!
We made it!

We had hit thrift stores and toured back roads and checked out houses off the main road. We were ready for great burgers and dessert at the Shell Store. Our most unique experience?

See him?

What about now?

Quit putting off things… do it now… don’t wait three years to go out with a friend! We had so much fun, but we should have been going often. We waited and it was worth it, but go do something today you’ve been putting off! You never know, you might see a coyote on a back road!

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
