Bottle Baby

Posted on March 14, 2010January 9, 2015

Guess what I’m doing?

bottle1
Wow.
Good guess.
We have a little bitty calf born to one of our heifers…  He’s super tiny and his momma doesn’t have much for a bag (in other words – she might not be giving much milk) … so we’ve decided to supplement his daily allowance.
bottle2
There you are… come here!
bottle3
I’ve got something for you…
bottle3a
Try it…
bottle4
Today he was not overly interested…
bottle5
… and he managed to spray milk all over his face instead.
bottle6
Today… momma was better.
We don’t know why he’s so small…
and we’re happy most of our calves aren’t his size!
bottle7
Compare him to this normal sized calf…
bottle8
Six inches in height and 30 pounds or so!
That’s why he’s a bottle baby!
