Brave Sadie

Posted on December 7, 2009January 7, 2015

The past few days have been rather chilly…

We awoke to -20 this morning…
It makes going out for long periods of time with the puppies a smidge painful.
If I’m not freezing…
they are…
If it’s below 10…
it seems like their paws stick to the snow more and they put on a pitiful face.
Have I brought them in the house?
Uh…
my floors are bad enough already…
but I’m tempted.
The time we do spend together is a joy…
watching the interactions…
seeing them learn and experience new things…
The brave are starting even to meet their daddy…
Like little Sadie…

Don’t you think if she could talk she’d sound like Thumper?
Lucas quickly lays down and wags his tail…
“I’m your dad?  All right, then, let’s play!”
brs2
With a whoof and a growl, he’s up…
Sadie makes sure *he* knows *she* knows she’s young and little and, yes, she knows he’s DADDY.
She curls herself so far around…
brs3
That this happens…
She twists herself back so far, she falls over!
It was hysterical…
but…
you probably had to be there!

I don’t know if it was my peals of laughter or Lucas’ growl that changed Sadie’s mind.
Playing with Daddy wasn’t that fun…
Daddy was mean…
and she fell in the snow…
and she’s leaving!
