Snagged

Posted on March 2, 2013October 29, 2014

I helped Vernon for a bit this afternoon…

While I’ve been playing with grandkids, and putting on photography exhibits, and doing/teaching pysanka, and working at the library… Vernon and the guys have been calving out our heifers.

In fact, they’ve already calved out 45 or so!

I know… they got here fast!  And we haven’t even hit their due date… I thought it was March 1st, but Vernon said it was the 7th.

Way to pay attention, Carol!

Anyway, I did manage to clean a pen and help weigh and shove the newborns across the ditch to the feedgrounds.

Most of the time, my camera stayed in my pocket… I *was* working…

But I snagged a couple for you…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
