Eating My Words

Posted on May 11, 2012April 3, 2015

What Are the Odds?

Posted on May 2, 2011January 12, 2015

The guys are happy here… they finally succeeded in getting some farming done.  The fields were dry enough to let them get the tractors in without creating ruts or messing up the grass and alfalfa. I did some of my own outside work… that’s why I’ve just taken some Advil! This lawn is not near…

‘Ear, ‘Ear!

Posted on August 21, 2010January 14, 2015

Victoria and Matt are here for a day… Her last “time off” before school starts this week… She decided to participate in our local food co-op this week, so we blasted into town first thing this morning and picked up our “baskets”. This co-op has just started at the beginning of summer… but you can…

Garden – Potato 101

Posted on April 27, 2010November 22, 2014

I spent the morning writing our ranch’s centennial story.  They publish a book full of stories from each year’s Wyoming’s Centennial Farms and Ranches.  Though our centennial was last year, they are just now collecting stories.  For those of you who missed our party, you might investigate some entries from July of last year… I…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
