Just to prove I’ve been trying to upload a Throwback Friday post for over half an hour and I quit.

Historical Photo: Branding 1950’s?
While sorting through the pile of photos, it seems as if the ones printed like this were about the 1950’s era. I don’t recognize this round corral. Obviously, this was in the day of Hereford cattle. So many things are still the same… I don’t recognize the brand… does anyone know of the R3 brand?

An Answer to a Question
Many of you liked the historical photo I posted of Edna, especially the one with the gun on her hip. Well, today, while cooling off from lawn work in the ‘90* heat, I was sorting photos and came across this photo in the Worland newspaper. That little article clears up a few questions…

Historical Photo: Edna
My favorite photo of Johnny’s mother, Edna. Then there’s this one… That’s not a chicken she’s holding! Then, she played fiddle at various dances… That’s her in the back… She was also quite the photographer. She sounds like a cool lady!

Throwback Thursday: Lights Off, v.2.0
This was first published August 14, 2014. Still a pet peeve. Pet Peeve #32. Lights. Love ’em in my house and outbuildings… I seem to need them more and more on whatever I’m working on… but I’m talking outdoor lights. Floodlights. Yard lights. Now, I know my mom in heaven is just laughing with my…

Yippee!
Well, finally! Yippee! My first pullet egg from one of my New Hampshire Reds! And while I’m eggcited for these good layers to get going, I can’t help but be eggcited to see what colors of eggs my Ameracaunas will produce!
