Today we had rain… lots of it (for Wyoming) and at one point it was mixed with snow. I haven’t been able to look up the mountain due to cloud cover, so I wonder how low the snow line really is… It was warmer this morning than the temperature was after lunch. It was rather unbelievable that we had a winter storm warning posted by the National Weather Service! I had to turn on my furnace! How unreal!
But thanks to the weather, we had a day off. Which, Mother Nature, I’d really like to thank you for that!
So I worked on my infamous kids’ book…
Watched a movie…
Didn’t cook anything but cardboard pizza…
Found out a neighbor had 40 sheep slaughtered by a wolf, which made my heart break for the guy (he’s a nice guy), my empathy overflow for the sheep ripped and gutted by an overachieving predator, and my blood boil towards the Feds who continue to reject Wyoming’s wolf management plan…
Holding my breath and recovering…<sorry>
Played with more branding photos…
Here’s our friend C. He is always ready and willing to tell me a blonde joke. Don’t know why…
Here’s Big Red Rooster… who did much better at this branding than the one the day before where he felt the need to pull a “Hi Ho Silver” or two when Daniel controlled his “turn and burn” after Daniel roped a calf. Man, he’s a powerful horse.
Here’s our friend J. We’ve known him since he was in high school. He’s getting married soon. Donchya just love his horse’s mane? Believe me, it would change the character of the horse if you brushed the knots out of it!
My favorite artistic shot of the day… Cowboy art…
