Chances Are…

Posted on September 10, 2010November 28, 2014

I braved the tiling again… this time mixing just one cup of water with the 2.3 cups of dry thin set.  I’m writing that down, so that I don’t forget the ratio!

I don’t know why it’s not written on the bag, but it isn’t.  The consistency of peanut butter… Thanks to internet research, I was able to find that descriptive term.
*That*, I understand.

So for you guys that write instructions on the thin set bags… please take notes.

It seemed to be the right amount.  Much better than yesterday.
My tiles are 9″ x 12″.
I put up four.
They didn’t slide while I was there.
Taped them up to the wall for support and called it good.  If I go back and they’ve slid, I don’t know what I’ll do!
Tomorrow the plan is to go try for a few more!
We also glued the laminate flooring to the countertop…
Screwed in a couple of upper cabinets and put the countertop on the sink base.
It honestly looks good to me!
I know, it’s not an exciting thing to photograph…
but I’ll make it up to you with a sunset photo.
Chances are that’s a red tail hawk perched there…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
