You’ve said before that one of the things that made a recent winter so destructive (I think it was 2012-2013) is that the early part got bitterly cold so early in some parts, and that normally, cattle develop insulation gradually as the seasons progress. How early does calving usually take place? I assume this is pretty late in winter.
