I decided at the last minute to run down to our other place and see if the elk were in the field. They’ve been coming in lately, and I’d seen them last night. It seems when the alfalfa gets frozen, the wildlife really hit the fields! Since we’ve been down to 20º, I saw just about everything… pheasants, turkeys, elk, whitetails, muleys, and I heard a coyote! But I digress…
Sure enough, I rounded the corner and could see elk in the field.
I drove within a quarter mile or so and started to film. They knew I was there and they began milling around. Soon enough they were leaving the country. I crossed the creek, and continued to film from where they had been minutes before.
This is the first time I’ve used my new little Canon SX260 and I’m very happy! Gone is the annoying clicking and popping as you zoom! Oh, probably didn’t even tell you I had a new camera! Yup. Though the other one continues to work with minor glitches, there’s just dust inside the lens and it’s only a matter of time!
For this looooooong Minute Movie, it was great!
