When I get tired working in my studio… I grab a volume of my “Five Foot Shelf of Books” and skim through the pages. Granted, some selections aren’t made for skimming… but it’s not English class and Mrs. Demorest isn’t grading me, so I skip around. I found this a few weeks ago… and fell in love with it!
I’ve read it multiple times… and finally decided to share with you.
This was my best “take”… I tried five, yes, FIVE, other times… but Eden barked and the cat growled and Eden played with a water bottle, scrunching and crackling along… and loud trucks drove by and Vernon came home. This does include one “meow” and a couple of thuds courtesy of Eden… but it’s much better than the take where she stuck her nose on the camera lens!!

A very pleasant read. Thanks.
Beautiful.
Loved the poem and its nice to have a voice to put with your face 🙂
Wonderful Carol. I enjoyed this via Twitter last night. A relaxing end to a day we all enjoyed an extra hour in bed as we have moved to ‘daylight saving time’. Much lighter in the morning with sunrise just before 7am, but darker evenings with sun setting 4:50pm :-(. You have a lovely calming voice.
