Harvest Blessing

Posted on October 18, 2015October 17, 2015

Well, it’s been a long day for me…

I finished up my two donations to the raffle… a can lid pumpkin…

watercolor chickadeeI managed to paint him in a couple of free hours this morning!  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!  Then the twins and their mother made cranberry nut pies, and I took one to the Harvest Dinner.

Final preparations were done, and we kicked off the raffle and auction at 5:30.

Lots of items came through right at the end… I wasn’t the only one that procrastinated.

There was a line completely around the school cafeteria this year.  The food was great as usual.

I hoped to bid high enough to win this beauty…

Another Harvest Dinner finished.  Thanks to this community and family and friends for a wonderful and exhausting evening!

Special shout out to I. … faithful reader that she is, for donating to the Friends as well… your generosity amazes me… thanks for giving, may the blessing you bestowed be returned many times over!

OH GOOD!! Was hoping you’d post something about the dinner! Glad it went well. Love your painting, and Belinda’s as well. Loved the crowd scene and the dinner line looked impressive.

Love your pumpkin and chickadee a lot. Sure looks like a wonderful annual event. We had another Harvest Festival at church yesterday with lots of activities for kids (zoo mobile came!), many craft items, and hot chili
lunch complete with corn bread and apple crisp. Best time of the year!

Your art work is amazing. Great crowd. What a good idea for pallets. Love small town gatherings.
