Pause

Posted on February 15, 2017February 14, 2017

We paused today to celebrate the life of George Edgar Greet, Vernon’s uncle.  At almost 103 years young, he was an institution around here.  As the preacher said today, “Greets were in this country when they delivered the (red) dirt.”  (I added the “red”.)

Although we are saddened at his passing, what better life than to live surrounded by family and friends in this beautiful country?

Farewell, Uncle George, until we meet again!

Wow, what a life. It is hard to weep and wail about 103 years of what, I hope, was a good and full life. And if he stayed in the Ten Sleep area, lucky man. However, that does not lessen the loss. Condolences to all.

And the (red) dirt line is a great one.

So sorry for the loss of Uncle George. What a great age to reach. I’m sure you and Vernon will have fond memories of him to pass on to your Grandkids.

Sending you my condolences. 103 is a good, ripe old age! My Mom is 99 and looks and acts like she will make it to 103 or more. Must be that good farm/ranch upbringing she had in her youth! 🙂

So sorry for your loss. I’m thinking of all of the history he had seen in that many years. Wow.
