More rotating cows, kids, and us…
I babysat Jaxon, Lacee, and Reagan after I’d helped pair the heifers and their calves and sort them in the corral. That gave Tess a chance to work. Then came lunch. After which I babysat Quinlan and Lorelei, and put them to work helping me clean out my garden!
After a text from Megan, we jumped in the car and drove down to watch them sort some pairs…
It helps me think I’m helping… 🤪
Well, at least I can follow them down the highway with my flashers on!
We got them through the gate… then came the Country Visits. Those times when friends and neighbors you haven’t seen for a while stop. In the middle of the highway. Conversations ensue from horseback to pickup to four wheeler. I heard someone complaining about this the other day… but to country folk, it’s no big deal. If you don’t want to join the convo, just slowly drive around. But it’s definitely a country thing…

Looks like a lovely day for an impromptu visit!
Who in the world would have a problem with folks stopping to chat?
Sounds like you had a great time with family while helping with ranch work.
City folk don’t understand.
