#TBT : Romantic Ride Along

Posted on October 5, 2018

This couple are having a romantic ride along.  Can anyone guess what piece of equipment they’re using?  Taken in the field between Daniel and Johnny’s houses.

Doesn’t sound like much of a “romantic ride” from the smell of it! 😉

Well, I certainly learned a few things from this post and all the replies.
I thought it was a potato wagon! (remember, I live in the ‘burbs) 🙂

Manure spreaders are great until 1. YOU HAVE TO SHOVEL ONE OUT
    2. IN ORDER TO WORK ON IT
These tandem trucks with the chains in the bottom that we use hold a lot of manure.
I have noticed that girl friends or wives sometimes ride along with the guy doing the spreading. Young ones…the older ones have been there, done that.

Manure spreader! We had a couple of those around when I was a kid, and at least one of them in use. Terribly romantic, that! lol

one of my favorite jobs on the farm was hauling manure, but I never took a young lady along, guess farm girls were different in the old days!
