Day Three

Posted on April 16, 2019April 16, 2019

Well, of course there are other things I’ve done today… like defrosting my freezer, reorganizing, and repacking it with beef… and standard household chores… but I did get to spend some time on the table!

The quote is from Plato… “Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”

On the outside edges, I used a quote from C.S. Lewis: “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

I haven’t taken pictures of the sides yet… nor have I decided what I’m doing to the legs!

There are many days left to go!

Question: Could that be an earlier Carol reading a book?

Could be… I did wear my hair in pigtails for a while!

Your table is looking great. Amazing art work and very wise quotes.

Ha… I would be an inspiration if my house was clean *and* I did all my artwork… far from it!

That is lovely and looks like a lot of fun! I’ve been doing some wood burning lately too and have the itch to do more.

Your original artwork imagery is wonderful, uniting nature and what we get from books; I’d say that the two together make for a rich life. And your two quotes are so different; they each give food for thought. This is a super project for your library.

It’s coming along! Sometimes we get inspired as we work on a project! Good quotes, too. Now that I am retired, I AM reading a lot and it is wonderful!
