After bringing the heifers back home, the heat was increasing… and we left them in the corral to take it easy and not get doubly stressed. The next morning, bright and cool… we met again to draw their blood.
It’s now possible to pregnancy test after a month to see if all of our AI work was successful.
That meant running them through the chute, Brandon taking a small blood sample from under the tail, and me keeping the paperwork straight!
I had a good helper…
… even if she does eat cookies while on the job!
Johnny had help as well…
I do think Quinlan needs some rocks in his pocket to help pull the chute rope!
Work finally complete after another hot siege, we planned on shipping the heifers in the morning to the top of the mountain. They’ll love it… it HAS to be cooler up there!Find me here!
