I’m passing on #Throwback Thursday this week…
And sharing my wonderful Tuesday with you instead!
We were to preg test our heifers. Sounds easy enough.
First you gather the pasture.
Enjoy riding past the tiny little fairy waterfall…
Take the heifers up and over the hill and down to the corral…
Then figure out how to set up the vet’s new chute…
It’s lunchtime! Let’s hide in the salt shed while the wind howls outside and the rain starts coming down!
Soon the vet shows up and is quickly followed by more rain… oh. Joy.
I kid you not… the wind and rain are sideways… even if the sun would shine on occasion… then the wind just kept at it when the rain did move on. I was COLD… standing there in my slicker and chinks and scarf and gloves… I wasn’t moving enough to keep warm! My job was to send the heifers to the “open” pen or back out to pasture… but, finally…
WE’RE FINISHED! YAY!
The vet loads up and goes on his merry way… but us??? Yeah. The “fun” is just beginning…
Find me here!
Looks like it is starting to get cold out there! Brrh!
Was the puppy out there also?
Nope. Bravo is too young and there’s too many things for him to get in to trouble with since I can’t be watching him constantly.
