It seems like it’s taken me much longer to decorate for Christmas than usual. I did finish the outside, just in time for it to start snowing! The inside, on the other hand, is still a mess. I’m definitely not ready for company!
Thank goodness, Vernon puts up with my disorganization.
Tomorrow is our library Silent Auction, and I won’t have much to donate. I put in a calendar, some trailer magnets, and a few storebought Christmas ornaments. Oh, well, that’s what I get for making all those foxes.
In the morning I’ll be making this…
Do you think I’ve made it a few times? It’s one of my family’s favorites, and it’s chock full of vitamin C. A fair amount of Ten Sleep people are learning to like it, too, since it’s what we serve at our Silent Auction.
If you’re interested, we will probably do a Facebook live video from the auction, just follow Ten Sleep Branch Library, and sometime between 6 and 7 pm Mountain time, you can join in the fun.

Your decorations are lovely! Thanks for sharing. I’m slow this year and haven’t gotten anything put up yet for Christmas. Maybe tomorrow! There is still a little bit of time. I’m going to save that Wassail recipe to try it sounds yummy for a cold winter night.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas!
Thank you for your family favorite/recipe. Going to try it with my family, since all three daughters are either pregnant, nursing, or a health nut. Sounds delicious!
Merry Christmas from just a few miles South of Green Bay, WI, Packer country.
Love the Ten Sleep area. Stopped at Dirty Sally’s a couple times, two different trips. A piece of my heart belongs to Wyoming.
I hope you enjoy it! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Sounds yummy! I’m going to try it for our family Christmas dinner! Thanks.
I am intrigued by the “2-1/4 c. pineapple juice.” Is there something about that 1/4 cup that makes or breaks the wassail? Or did that just happen to be the amount of pineapple juice at hand when someone got around to writing this recipe down? (Scribe: “How much pineapple did you put in there?” Cook: “I measured out 2 cups, but there was 1/4 c left and I couldn’t think of anything else to do with it so I threw it in.”)
Don’t ask me… I just do as it says… or as close as I can!
