#TBT: “If Everday Was Like This…”, v.2.0

Posted on April 16, 2020April 16, 2020

We sorted and sent another 34 pairs out into the allotment today.

A day of sunshine and barely any wind.

A day of yellow bells and blue skies.

A day of not too cold, not too hot… a Goldilocks day.

A day when the pairs stayed paired.

A good day on a good horse.

What did Winston Churchill say? “There is something about the outside of a horse… that is good for the inside of a man.”

Vernon’s quote for the day… “If everyday was like this, everyone would want to be a cowboy.”

    I was a “cowgirl” once, at Lost Valley Ranch in Colorado back in 1976! We each had our own horse for the week for trail rides, all day rides, a guest rodeo, and a small cattle round-up in various places on their property. In my memory I can still feel the fun and freedom of enjoying all that riding I did on vacation at a working dude ranch. Sure hope I can do something like that again!

    Sounds like a wonderful day. Never been on a horse (sorry) but do love to see them running wild and close up, there is just something about their eyes. I get my fill with Longmire re runs and Canada’s Heartland. Oh and we get a few walk in front of our house from local riding school.

    I agree with Winston & Vernon, on my annual Fall trip to Colorado that includes a trail ride in Estes Park, I’m always behind cattle like this, in my mind, one year we had to hold up & allow a black bear access to the trail! and that was for real!!

    Pictures and thoughts like that make me want to ride a horse. Then I sit down until the urge goes away. ( – ;
