We definitely dodged that bullet.
It snowed here, lightly, briefly, and none of it stuck on the grass. The low temperature was only 34 degrees at my house. We received .29″ of rain, which was wonderful.
The rest of Wyoming was not so lucky. Snow fell and stacked up and the wind howled. I’ve seen videos and photos on the internet that look more like January than September. Trees and limbs down, power out, roads closed.
Never fear, we’re supposed to gain heat every day for the next few and be back up into the 80’s by Sunday.
While Mother Nature resolutely stood at 45 degrees today and had to involve some good winds from time to time, Tess and I stayed indoors and preserved some of our food we’ve rescued from our gardens. Eleven half pints of raspberry salsa, 14 pints of corn salsa, and 7 pints of sweet pickle relish. Plus some extra we’re using for soup starter and some to keep in the fridge.
Plus we fed seven people for supper…
I think we did a pretty good day’s work! I know I’m tired…Find me here!
