The chick raising area is no more. The boards have been removed. Quinlan was happy to use a ratchet driver to back out the screws for me.

Then we started hauling wood.

Well, that won’t last long. We went to get some more.
This pile has been aging for a few years now… and should easily burn. I was a bit picky though, and asked for small logs that my small battery powered chain saw could easily slice through. Length didn’t matter… and I set my helpers free to pull whatever they could from the pile.

It was more fun than you can believe…
King of the Mountain repeated itself many times… a big load of wood, and some great poses to remember it all by…

Great silhouettes. What fun that must have been for them. No more baby chicks?????
Love the silhouettes!
Great photos. Love the different wood textures in photo 3.
wasn’t it great to be a young one when work was fun, ‘course they say when you enjoy your job, you never work a day in your life, I must admit, there were many days when my job was anything but enjoyable, but I made it- no more baby chicks? or a new pen coming-
