Things picked up at the calving shed last night… and by that, I mean, when I went down this morning to see if I could help, there were 12 new mommas and babies on hand. That meant every pen, and two outside pens had occupants.
I puttered around trying to help Brandon and then Vernon and Daniel… not that I accomplished much, but I felt like I had contributed! Only one was born today, we will see what night brings.
No matter what, I imagine I’ll wander down in the morning, just to watch the calves… it does your heart good!
Great to hear babies are arriving. New life is an amazing event.
Watching young animals does indeed, do good for one’s heart.
