Back to ranchlife…
We brought our heifers up to the corral so we could take some blood samples to submit for a pregnancy test.

Since it’s a fairly short ride, the Cousin Crew was on duty.

Since the rest of the work was in the corral, everyone unsaddled, and tried to hustle to start work before the temperature rose any more.

Even though all four cowkids helped for a while, the heat, the lack of real jobs, and, yes, boredom, had them escaping to Tessia’s for drink, food, and cool air! We were very grateful for the help of C. and T., and it was nice to head home finally for lunch at 3 pm after all the work was done.
If anyone has questions for the next Q&A, here’s your chance. There’s been some comments that I’ll address, and if anyone has more questions, please post them in the comments.

That picture with all the dust and everyone on the horizon is exceptional in my view!
Looks like a lovely day was had by all….and the cousin crew certainly seem to be pulling their weight nicely!
