We check one pasture’s water tank everyday. It’s an unusual tank… as you can see from its portrait.
Never let it be said that ranchers aren’t creative folk…
This day, I had taken some backup workers with me…
Lorelei is learning how a float turns the water off and on. I send them up to the barrel to make sure the cows have plenty of salt and mineral.
The salt and mineral levels must be ok. Lorelei questions me on when the beginning of the Adventure is… “Now!” I insist!
If only I had a quarter for every flake of chert left behind by Indians in the Big Horn Mountains! We weren’t successful at finding any arrowheads… but we got an amazing selfie photobombed by a Ninja Turtle!

Just for “fun”…. The smoke level has been high as of late…

Our tank check day with you + the added frills….or should I say thrills, was amazing. Again, thanks for sharing your day with us!
Thanks Carol for sharing!! Great pics! Enjoy your summer with your kiddos! They are too cute and helpful …..looks like they are learning a lot….
Creativity is what drives the west. You demonstrate that with projects like this and your other ones.
Lovely photo of you and Grandkids. Take care with all that smoke.
When you never know for sure where your profit margins are nor where they’ll come from creativity can be a great thing. That tank proves it.
