Summer Crafts

Posted on August 15, 2021August 15, 2021

A little crafting… I generally don’t do much crafting in the summer, it seems like there are other things calling for my attention. However, the wedding yesterday called for a present. Part of it was a set of four stemless wine glasses that I etched with their brand.

Their brand is the “quarter circle J L” and I think they turned out well.

I’m also working on a donation for the Longmire Days online auction. A while back I said I’d donate some wood burned item… and it’s down to the wire! I’m burning a 5”x5” wood plaque with items from each of Craig Johnson’s 17 books. Obviously, I’m not done, but see if you can tell me what books still need to have their subjects burned…

Hope you’ll show us how to do the glass etching sometime. I think the ranch’s brand on the glasses is a very unique wedding gift. Good luck with your latest woodburning project for the auction. It looks great.

The spirit of steamboat and daughter of the morning star – really looking forward to its release – are two that come to mind as I’m re-reading them at the moment. Beautiful workmanship.
