Everyone else went up the mountain to gather heifers and take them to the home mountain pasture. That left me with five grandkids to watch today. Instead of hanging around the house, we had an adventure! Including my brother-in-law and sister, we formed quite the troop! My brother-in-law is a geologist, and he’s very knowledgeable, fun to be with, and he’s very good with all of my grandkids.
Everyone have their water bottles? YES!
Everyone have their jackets? YES!
Everyone have their hats? YES!
Let’s go!
A mile into our adventure, Lacee’s comment floats up to me in the driver’s seat… “Reagan doesn’t have any shoes on…”. Well. I guess I should have asked that, but somehow I thought everyone would just have their shoes on… Reagan and I fly back to the house leaving the others to entertain themselves in some red rocks. Returning, NOW we were off!
Come to find out later, Reagan was also “going commando”. I’m going to have to ask that little girl if she has *every* item of clothing on. I do suppose at age three she probably needs more supervision than I give her! Who knew underwear would have to be on the checklist along with shoes????
We put on the miles today. Having quite the adventure….
I’d say the horny toad had an adventure, too!
What a fun and wonderful day!
Thanks for sharing
Loved the story – pretty hilarious! Also loved the gorgeous view that Reagan is enjoying atop that hill.
I wanna be your grandkid!!! What fun.
Gotta watch those 3 year-olds every minute. Shoes — underwear??
Thanks for the chuckles.
What a great day for you all. Three year olds can certainly keep us on our toes.
