Tracking

Posted on December 12, 2021December 12, 2021

A little bit of snow makes for good tracking. It’s not a common skill like it was a century ago… but you don’t have to be that good to see if a cow has walked by!

Vernon and I made one last trip to the Mesa Pasture to make sure no cows were left behind… We wandered around, saw some antelope… and really nothing else. Black cows tend to stand out in white snow… and every track was a different critter. At least in our pasture.

Cow tracks can be easily spotted… but these were in the neighbor’s pasture!
