It happened years and years ago. Victoria says she remembers it, but I doubt my boys do. The rains were tremendous in the spring… and we drove out for a picnic into the badlands. Wildflowers were everywhere. Just fields of paintbrush… I took some old VHS movies of the kids and the flowers. Driving out, delivering bulls to their girlfriends just the other day…it was like that. Just super!
But we were on a mission and photos out of a bouncy pickup are no good. I also thought we were returning by the same route. WRONG. I knew I needed to take Lacee’s birthday photos… so I thought we’d go back and reenact my wildflower video the next day.
Well… LIFE.
So, my first chance to go back was six days later. Victoria and Megan and children were along. While the flowers were still there, it wasn’t in the abundance of the time before. Label that a bummer with a capital b. No reenactment. No video.
Then I was going to dig out my VHS tapes and look at them. Well, my player refused to play them… and, yes, I still have a VHS/DVD player. Guess I should get someone to transfer them onto a digital device for me!
Ah, well…

I still have VHS player tucked away with a couple of tapes that are special including ones transferred from 8mm film. Great detail in your photo..
Great Photo!
My husband still has a VHS/DVD player, so you are not the only one.
Love the picture of the dragon flies.
