All summer, I’ve had this project on my list.
Finally!
I admit, it doesn’t look like much, but it will help me be a bit more organized.
I have run out of room in my basement to store things since I expanded my pantry. What needed to move was my Christmas decorations. We have plenty of room in various outbuildings, but my fear of mice and pack rats chewing through the plastic tubs and ruining my treasured decorations stopped me from simply moving them out of my basement.
My solution?
Build a bed frame tall enough to store plastic tubs underneath. Today, I built that bed frame, though I didn’t have the time to organize the tubs underneath.
This is where Victoria sleeps when she visits. I texted her and laughingly explained she’d now have to use my step stool to climb into bed!
(Now to buy a big enough bedspread to cover up the sides!)

A wonderful idea.
Ha! That’s exactly what my husband built when we moved into our small house. He used 2/4’s and plywood, and built them high enough for a large tub to fit underneath. And, yes, we use stools to get into bed. Gotta love it!
A queen size bed skirt under the mattress, or under the box spring. (Appears to be a queen size bed) Then a king size bedspread should nicely cover. Great idea for added storage!
