Get the Idea

Maybe you’ve seen them, cute short videos of younger women showing off their fashion style. Fixing their hair, layering on jewelry, applying makeup, dressing to the nines. An internet friend of mine does it all the time… check out Prairie Wife In Heels if you get a chance. They’re cute little videos… so as I was dressing up a tad for the art show the other day, I decided to try my hand at it. Honestly, all I ever do is put on a better pair of jeans (though my mother would tell you that she raised me better than that). But I tried.

Somehow I don’t have the right app to transfer it from Facebook, or Instagram, so my apologies. You can see it on those platforms by searching for Red Dirt In My Soul. So there’s a nice little video with me embarrassing myself showing off my jewelry and fancy boots (which I won for – you guessed it – one of my photos!) and some nicer jeans and shirt… then getting the giggles because I don’t know how to make those short videos and because it just isn’t *me*…

I wasn’t gonna share, but I figured us older, overweight, out of shape ladies can have fun too… even if it’s just a nicer pair of jeans and a special day for the few of us who had the art show!
